The National Press Club (NPC) played a vital role during its deliberation in Malacanang citing the Philippine media’s sad experience under the previous Aquino administration such as the infamous Ampatuan Massacre of 2009 that 32 journalists. The case remains unsolved during Mr. Aquino’s entire term despite his promise to give justice to the victims.
