ONLY the state-run television station and Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM) would be allowed in Rizal Hall in Malacañang to cover the inauguration of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte on June 30.
Incoming Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) head Martin Andanar said only People’s Television 4 (PTV 4) and RTVM would be allowed inside.
Andanar said the Rizal Hall could only accommodate around 500 guests, who would include foreign diplomats and lawmakers.
Andanar said other journalists who will cover the inauguration would be given a work station outside the Rizal Hall, probably at the New Executive Building.
Media outfits would rely on PTV 4 and RTVM for their live videos.
Duterte earlier said that he wanted a simple inauguration when he takes his oath before a schoolmate and fraternity brother, Supreme Court Associate Justice Bienvenido Reyes. (Philippine Daily Inquirer)
