National Press Club (NPC) Vice President Paul M. Gutierrez early today paid a courtesy call to Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) secretary general, Isidro Lapena where they engaged in a fruitful discussion centered on the renewal of the NPC-TESDA Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) both parties first signed in 1997.
The meeting, their first since Lapena left the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in 2018, also resulted to the TESDA chief expressing his full support to extending the MOA’s beneficiaries to the media families of the victims of the infamous 2009 Ampatuan Massacre, a gesture very much appreciated by the NPC.
For its part, the Club, which remains as the country’s biggest organization of active members of the press, vows to also support TESDA’s public information campaign on the many programs and projects of the agency in particular, and the government in general, in pursuit of poverty alleviation and a better life, especially among the ordinary Filipinos. ###
